First Entry

Last year, after successfully negotiating three years and a cross-country move together, my Girlfriend and I decided to make it official—to have a commitment ceremony. We had no idea what we were getting into.

These Commitment Diaries began as a gift, a little joke, a way to keep myself writing while also negotiating caterers and ministers and all the whatnot we discovered as we journeyed toward our October ceremony.

These pages are launched with the goal of sharing our process while also creating a record of this odd, funny, challenging time. We hope you enjoy them.
